About

Leonardo M. Scarcia began exhibiting his work in 1994, participating in the Bienal de Arte Joven in Buenos Aires — one of the three decentralized biennials held at that time. That early recognition marked the beginning of a lifelong commitment to artistic exploration.

Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, he exhibited across key cultural spaces in Buenos Aires, including Lady of Bollini, the Ministry of Economy of the Nation, Casa de Corrientes, the French Alliance of Buenos Aires, Galería Pacífico, and the Recoleta Museum of Modern Art. His work became part of the city’s pictorial and bohemian scene, establishing a strong presence within traditional exhibition circuits.

While institutional opportunities later became more limited, Scarcia never stopped creating. His practice continued to evolve organically — expanding beyond physical spaces into new media, digital languages, and experimental forms.

In 2021, he entered the NFT ecosystem, opening a new chapter in his career. Within the Web3 space, he reconnected with a global artistic community, presenting over 25 years of exploration at the intersection of art and technology. Since then, his work has been exhibited across Latin America, the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Today, his practice exists between disciplines — where art direction, visual storytelling and digital experimentation converge.
His work lives in that subtle space between what is constructed and what is felt, where images are not only seen, but experienced.

Scarcia’s multidisciplinary approach spans painting, animation, art direction, digital illustration, 3D art, virtual reality, augmented reality, and AI-assisted creation. He moves fluidly between traditional techniques such as stop-motion and immersive digital environments, constantly exploring the dialogue between the tactile and the virtual.

He does not approach design as decoration, but as perception —
a way of revealing what already exists beneath the surface.
